Mandy was born and raised right here in Madison.  She graduated from the UW Madison with a degree in Communications and a focus in Psychology in December of 2005.  Mandy grew up in a household of animal lovers, her grandfather was a UW Veterinarian with a love for teaching others about his job and animals in general.  She spent many a day with him at his clinic learning and observing.  Her mother showed beagles as a young woman and taught Mandy a lot about training and caring for our four-legged friends.  As a child, Mandy's family took in a couple of different dogs, all with their own personalities and interesting quarks!  Once she moved out on her own, she realized how much she needed a furry companion of her own.  Mandy found Sally through a local rescue and the rest is history.  Shayna came to her as a foster, and soon afterwards, Mandy realized that their was no better place for Shayna than her own home.  Mandy feels that being a part of the Ruffin' It team is like being a part of a large family.  "We connect on the same level and all work together to make dogs’ dreams come true."  Mandy has been a dog trainer for puppy, beginner, and tricks and games classes, and she has over three years management experience of a dog facility.
